THE UNNAMABLE

SEPT - DEC 2024

‘The Unnamable’ is a short film that follows a cryptic young creature as he takes the train from Dublin city to Sandycove. Through narration that borrows the words of James Joyce and Samuel Beckett, The Unnamable confronts ideas of splintered self-image, loneliness, and being seen in a fundamentally blind world.

Filmed in just 4 days with a budget of $250, The Unnamable is the first film written and directed by Lucien Clough and Luke Opalack.

An official selection of The Bloomsday Film Festival, 2026
